Roland Barthes coined the term “punctum” in the Camera Lucida written in 1980.
He wrote, ”The punctum of a photograph is that accident which pricks me (but also bruises me, is poignant to me)”
Punctum described a feeling, an intuition, a quickness that hits one to peak an interest without the clear knowledge of why.
This is my journaling and exploration into the things that prick me. The experiences all my sense may encounter that spark that undeniable draw into influencing and guiding what I create.
